KOKIMO: Gardening Gourmet

KOKIMO Gardening Gourmet is a performance installation around the dinner table. The work builds a relationship with the seasons, the concept of the garden, the exhibition spaces, and the Garden Futures: Designing with Nature exhibition and its works. Gardening Gourmet explores audiovisual, spatial and taste perspectives through the garden and the seasons, and tunes the taster to a multi-sensory experience. In the work, we gather around a common table enjoying with all senses what the garden has to offer. The tasters are vegan and gluten-free. The performance takes place also in the exhibition spaces in the Museum of Finnish Architecture and the Design Museum. Premiere on 16 March 2024.
The performances are in Finnish, except for 19 March at 3 p.m. which is in English. The performance starts at the Design Museum, you can get instructions from the ticket office when you redeem your ticket. Please be on time. Bags and other belongings can be left free of charge in the Design Museum’s clothes storage.
By registering, you book a place for yourself at the performance. If you are unable to participate in the performance, remember to cancel your registration in good time by emailing events@mfa.fi. There are limited places. A ticket to the show entitles you to enter the exhibitions on the day of the show.

Tickets
Ticket prices: €20 basic ticket, €12 discount groups (seniors, students, under 18 years old, theater industry professionals with Teatterikorti, Actors’ Union membership card or Theater and Media Workers’ Union [Teme] membership card).
Tickets are booked in advance online. With the reservation form, one place is reserved for the show/form. A ticket to the show can be bought at the Designmuseo ticket office (Korkeavuorenkatu 23). By registering, you are bindingly booking a place for yourself at the show. If you are unable to participate in the performance, remember to cancel your registration in good time by emailing events@mfa.fi.

Accessibility
You can get instructions for the start of the show at the Designmuseo ticket office. In the show, you move around the exhibition spaces both guided and independent, and there are no numbered stands. The presentation also includes a visit to the exhibition space of the Architecture Museum, which is not wheelchair accessible. Please let us know in advance if you need a wheelchair space. Allergy information is requested when registering.
The building of the Architecture Museum is not barrier-free.

KOKIMO
KOKIMO is a free artist group founded in 2010. KOKIMO makes performances, works, exhibition projects and curation. KOKIMO works in a cooperative and place-sensitive manner, respecting the values of sustainability. The works emphasize multisensory and experientiality.
