Experience seven museums event brings the whole evening full of dance, theater, poems and music to the darkening November. Included in the tour are the Design Museum, Hakasalmi Villa, HAM Helsinki Art Museum, Helsinki City Museum, Finnish Museum of Natural History, Sinebrychoff Art Museum and Art gallery Helsinki.

Wednesday 23.11. The Design Museum has free entry for all from 17:00 to 22:00. During the evening, dance art is enjoyed in the Antti + Vuokko Nurmesniemi exhibition space: Aesthetic Experience is a dance performance inspired by Vuokko and Antti Nurmesniemi’s artistic thinking, values and art exhibited at the Design Museum performed by Ismo Dance Company.

Aesthetic Experience – movement in motion at the Design Museum exhibition

Ismo Dance Company’s dance performance is based on the exhibition objects, their shapes and colours. The choreography helps museum visitors find new perspectives on Nurmesniemis’ art. Based on free play, the choreography counts on the ability of dance to reveal something new and hitherto undiscovered. The performance is created with the dancers at the Design Museum in 25 hours using fast working methods. You are most welcome to see the result.

The performance is accompanied by a live musician and repeated several times during the evening between 17:00 and 22:00.
