Design District Market Brings Fashion, Design and Summer Atmosphere to Hotel Torni
Design District Helsinki, the network of creative businesses in the Finnish capital, invites locals and visitors alike to enjoy a charming late-summer day at Design District Market on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. The free event will take place in the atmospheric courtyard of Hotel Torni, bringing together Finnish design, art, vintage treasures and delicious culinary experiences.
A diverse selection of Design District Helsinki member businesses will be taking part, including Arkivé Atelier, FOLD., Hotel F6, Hotel Torni, Jatuli, Laura Vartio, Munkkiniemen Taidelainaamo ja Kehys, Reetta Hiltunen and Vintage Style Events HKI. Visitors can discover fashion, design, jewellery, art, vintage finds and the best of Helsinki’s vibrant summer lifestyle. The event also offers plenty to enjoy for food lovers. Hotel Torni’s courtyard will be serving sourdough pizzas, fresh salads and artisanal ice cream made in the hotel’s own kitchen. The relaxed summer setting is the perfect place to stop for lunch, coffee or a refreshing drink while browsing the market. During the event, visitors can also pick up the newly updated Design District Helsinki Map 2026. The redesigned map now covers a larger area than before, extending all the way to Helsinginkatu in Kallio, making it even easier to explore the district’s wide range of creative businesses and attractions.
Design District Market extends beyond Hotel Torni’s courtyard with two satellite locations: Finlandia Hall and Miela. At Finlandia Hall, visitors can purchase tickets to the major exhibition Visions of Alvar Aalto for €16 (regular price €20) by using the Design District Market promotional code during the event. Meanwhile, Miela will showcase an extensive selection of clothing for both everyday wear and special occasions from nearly 50 Finnish fashion brands.
