Between-the-holidays at the museum: Meet Moomintroll in the exhibition!

After Christmas, take a festive outing to the museum. On Saturday, 27 December, the beloved Moomintroll will be meeting visitors in the Escape to Moominvalley exhibition at the Architecture & Design Museum. Bring the whole family to experience the atmosphere of Moominvalley and meet Moomintroll in person!

Moomintroll Meet & Greet

Moomintroll welcomes visitors to the exhibition when the museum opens at 11.00 am. You can meet him in the exhibition space three times during the day:

11.00–11.30 am
12.30–1.00 pm
2.30–3.00 pm

Take a photo with Moomintroll in front of the Moominhouse, at the floating theatre, or on the Moominvalley bridge and make your visit truly memorable.

Open guided tours

Combine your visit with an open guided tour, included in the price of the museum ticket. A guided tour in Finnish starts at 1.00 pm, and a guided tour in English at 2.00 pm.

Escape to Moominvalley

The Escape to Moominvalley exhibition offers a never-before-seen look at Tove Jansson’s and the Moomins’ relationship with architecture, the built environment, and design. The exhibition invites visitors of all ages to reflect on space, home, and community through the world of the Moomins.

Café and Design Shop

The museum’s Design Shop features an expanded selection of Moomin products alongside other carefully curated design finds. In the café, you can enjoy Moomin muffins and coffee served in Moomin mugs.

The Architecture & Design Museum is open as usual between Christmas and New Year.
