Artek stands for clarity, functionality, and poetic simplicity. Impervious to fashion, Artek products maintain their appeal over decades. Conceived to last physically, functionally, and aesthetically, they offer unparalleled longevity over generations. Ilmari Tapiovaara’s furniture form an essential part of Artek’s collection. Sketched in 1946 but produced for the first time in 1958 the Aslak Chair is finally available again. In the exhibition Aslak Chair is in the spotlight: both decades old vintage chairs and new production in five colours are shown side by side. This exhibition is a continuation to the Timeless Content Inside exhibition showcased at the Artek Helsinki Store.
