Furniture and glass from Aino and Alvar

Based on Artek’s anniversary poster from 1975 designed by Ben af Schultén, Artek 2nd Cycle exhibits 14 iconic pieces of furniture by Alvar Aalto from the 1930s to the 1950s. The exhibition is designed by interior architect Eliisa Korpijärvi and designer Lauri Johansson.

In dialogue with the Alvar Aalto furniture exhibition, Artek 2nd cycle showcases architect Igor Herler’s collection of Aino Aalto Bölgeblick utility glass by Karhula Glassworks from the 1930s.

The exhibition is open between 1.-10.9. Mon-Wed 12-17, Thu-Fri 11-18, Sat 11-15, Sun 12-17.

The exhibition is part of Helsinki Design Week programme.
