Pekka Poutiainen: “SHORTCUTS OF TIMELESS LIFE”
“From the perspective of the abstract, I see that life itself is timeless and all the time in movement. Even thought it is filled up with stories and shortcuts of every day moments. For me moments could appear far from past or present or future, it doesn’t matter. What matters to me is the moment of something which makes me inspired and push me to start the painting process.
The way I love to do paintings nowdays is abstract expressionist style, because it gives me possibility to use strong lines and vide variety of colours. Actually it gives me freedom, where I try to add one way or an other some parts of primitivity.”
The works are exhibited between July 31st – August 24th 2018 in the Makkara gallery at Pursimiehenkatu 2C 00150 Helsinki. The Gallery is open Tue-Thu 11-18, Fri 11-19 and Sat 12-15. Welcome!
